My pieces are designed to be both beautiful and useful and may be displayed as an attractive piece of art, used in the kitchen, or as a piece of furniture.
The uniqueness and originality of my work is what sets it apart. I incorporate intricate details in every piece I create, giving each its own personality and style. For example, in some pieces I may embed coins specific to each client in the bottoms of the segmented bowls, making them unique to each owner. The coins could symbolize a state, collection, or year that has a special meaning.
In some other pieces, I may use inlays made of beautiful materials like turquoise, coral, malachite, jade, colored epoxy for river tables and many others produce effects and colors that enhance each piece. The inlay may be a custom design, or used to fill a natural opening in the wood. And sometimes we can just let the wood’s natural grain, texture, and color speak for itself.
I use a variety of finishes on my work, depending on the piece and how it will be utilized, including a food-safe finish if it will be used for food preparation or serving. From satin to high-gloss, light shades to dark, I finish each piece specific to a person’s desired use and look.
