Experience & Passion for Woodworking
Wood

When I was young, I started helping my Dad in his basement woodshop and since then I’ve worked with wood my whole life. As a contractor, I built and remodeled homes for over 40 years and in that time I participated in hands-on construction, not just managing the business. Working with blueprints and home designs led me back to designing and creating woodworks in my shop.

I appreciate everything about wood. There are so many types and flavors - it’s unreal. Walnut, maple, cherry, mahogany, redwood and purpleheart are the ones I use most, but every piece is unique in its feel, texture, smell, and appearance. I’ve even made pieces from a log I found in a wood pile. Beauty can be found anywhere!

I greatly value working with individual customers because it gives me fulfillment in knowing I created something they will own and cherish the rest of their lives. Some people have brought in their own piece of wood to have me make them something from it, adding an even more personal touch to the creation.

I love Colorado, I have lived here for over 50 years. I am an avid outdoorsman. I enjoy skiing, hiking, camping, fly-fishing, and sailing (yes, there is great sailing here!). Colorado’s great outdoors always brings happiness to my soul.

"I am enthralled working with people and making their custom pieces exactly as they perceive them. "
